Week 4 2016

What a week my daughter has been on and out of hospital, with her pregnancy. We have a date now and the little one will be born on Tues 18th. It has been my pleasure to be there for my grandson’s before or after school when ever necessary, allowing my son in law to go to work and save his leave for when the baby is born.

The lessons this course have taught me help me to realise that I can be flexible. Changing my plans when I am needed. Enjoying the extra time with the boys.         Sitting, quietly in the evening, has allowed me to both relax and also to think through what I need to do and when the following day. Deciding which ‘jobs’ matter and which dont has meant that I have a clear plan of action when I get up.

We are all looking forward to meeting the new baby on Tuesday.

Week 23 The Universal Mind

Universal Mind      The only way to grow or expand my consciousness is to become aware of my power within.  This power is thought which is connected to Universal Mind which has Infinite Intelligence.  The way to connect to Universal Mind is through Silence, or as it’s called in MKMMA, the Sit, or as Alan G. reminded us, otherwise known as Meditation.

According to Haanel, most people don’t know how to pray.  For some reason they know there are laws that govern Maths, Science, Gravity and Electricity, but for some unknown reason they don’t believe that Spiritual Laws apply or exist.

Back in 19 – 17 :-  ‘thought constantly, eternally is taking form, seeking expression’. If my thoughts are powerful, constructive and positive it will show in my state of health, my business & my environment. If my thoughts are weak, critical, destructive and negative it will manifest, in my body as fear, worry & nervousness, in my finances as lack & limitation and as discord in my environment.

I have to allow the Universe to work in its own time, but I have to continue to think in the correct ways, commit to the process and see it through. The Sit, allows my mind to be clear to work through things without distraction. The sit allows me to find my inner peace. The sit allows calmness to wash over me. The sit gives me the strength of mind to go forwards with confidence.

Week 22 A little kindness goes a long way

Kindness, caring, love, empathy and compassion in this short story.

farmer and dog, drawing

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.
“Mister,” he said, “I want to buy one of your puppies.”

“Well,” said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, “These puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money.”

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer.

“I’ve got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?”

“Sure,” said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. “Here, Dolly!” he called.

Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.

Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up…

“I want that one,” the little boy said, pointing to the runt.

The farmer knelt down at the boy’s side and said, “Son, you don’t want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would.”

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, “You see sir, I don’t run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands.”

“How much?” asked the little boy…

“No charge,” answered the farmer, “There’s no charge for love.”

MKMMA Week 21 – The Art of Life

Here’s a short but powerful eye opener for me!

is The art of recognition.

No more will life just happen.

I’ve realized that just as we recognize the positive characteristics in others and events, recognizing fear, guilt, anger, hurt feeling and feelings of unworthiness in others
gives us power to totally change the dynamics of the relationship
by giving us the opportunity to change our response.

Week 21 Love Hate & Fear part 2

I had been planning to write something else until a post on my facebook newsfeed today. As some of you know I do Carriage Driving and have driven a wide range of turnouts, from 40 inch Shetlands to 17 hands Clydesdales and Shires single ponies to teams of 4 horses, competitions and weddings and funerals.

The post was from someone I worked with when he lived near me. He and his family moved back to their native Wales some years ago.  While out ‘on a job’ 1 of his beautiful animals was hit by a car! The horse had to be euthanased at the scene. Reading this has sent my emotions into overdrive, for all sorts of reasons.

LOVE – sympathy for Mark and his family at losing a horse in such a horrid way. for the horse that will have died needlessly and his partner, who may not want to go in a carriage or on the road again. I greet this day with love in my heart.

HATE – It would be easy to hate the car driver, I am resisting this, When I am tempted to criticize I bite my tongue.  sadly reading comments on the post a lot of people are expressing hate and anger. I greet this day with love in my heart, and pray that all the publicity this has generated will mean that other drivers realise that a few seconds delay is better than impatient rushing.

FEAR – There but for the grace of God go I.   I am trying to be pragmatic about it, It didnt happen to me and I cant live life wondering what if. Og’s timely words say …Why should I throw now after maybe?…. Tomorrow lies buried with yesterday, and I think of it no more.

Sorry,  these images are not pleasant.
12745906_1688776798074305_434200357127203958_nI certainly realise that I need to live this day as if it is my last,  looking forward to Scroll 6 – Today I will be master of my emotions.

Week 20 Love hate and fear

Always love with a passion, serve with a smile and handle with care because its the little things that matter in life.  Tweet from Prince Wallace says so much in so few words.

But can I love hate and fear, guilt, hurt feelings or unworthiness? If I want to begin a new life and am willing to accept that I am natures greatest miracle then I have to learn to love hate and fear, to understand that these emotions, channeled correctly, can lead me to greater achievements.

If I use my fear to spur me on to do it anyway or if I allow hate to give me the energy to go forwards then I will be making good use of these negative feelings. Guilt often goes hand in hand with hurt feelings and or unworthiness, unchecked these emotions turn us inward thinking and may be seen as a ‘chip on the shoulder’.

If I can see guilt, hurt feelings or unworthiness in myself and release myself from their shackles I can begin to see them in others and encourage other people the give themselves permission to reject the negative and also become the worlds greatest miracle!81934-turn-hope-and-love-on-turn-fear-and-hate-off
